Description
Long before the current AOCs (Appellations d’Origine Contrôlée), Chambertin and Clos-de-Bèze were already the flagship wines of Gevrey. When these parcels were sold by the Abbey of Bèze in 1219, these two climats were considered indistinguishable. Located in the northwestern part of the Chambertin climat, this parcel is adjacent to one of our Clos-de-Bèze plots called “Le Travers du Chambertin,” which shares similar soil characteristics. The vines were planted in 1976.
