The estate
The Domaine Pierre Damoy is an exception in Burgundy.
Discreetly nestled in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Pierre Damoy roots its history in Gevrey-Chambertin at the beginning of the 20th century when it was acquired by Julien Damoy. The estate is renowned for its exceptional viticultural heritage, consisting largely of grands crus, covering nearly eight hectares. Managing three of the nine grands crus of Gevrey-Chambertin under the appellations Chapelle-Chambertin, Chambertin, and Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze—of which it is the largest owner—the Domaine also possesses Clos Tamisot, which it holds as a monopoly.
Pierre Damoy
Pierre Damoy is a direct and straightforward man, driven by deep convictions.
Pierre Damoy, representing the fifth generation, took over the estate in 1992 and brought it the renewal it desperately needed. With a long-term vision, Pierre chose a completely different direction from his predecessor, focusing on quality rather than quantity. His hard work, rigor, and meticulousness have allowed the estate to become a Burgundian benchmark, honoring the potential of its appellations.
